2. Evidence of sufficient command of the French language (Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ).
3. Evidence of practical musical and/or musicology experience acquired prior to embarking on a Master's degree (Minor in Musicology, University Certificate in Musicology (foundation) [30.0], Certificate in Musicology (additional module)), involvement in the activities of a music conservatory, course in history of music, methodology, etc., taken at an academy or art college (IMEP Graduate School of Arts, the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music, etc.). Students who hold a Certificate in Musicology (additional module) qualify for exemptions.
For students who do not have the necessary qualifications, prerequisites will be added to their Master's programme (15 credits maximum).
Course equivalences must be approved by the Chair of the Examination Board, the Examination Board Secretary and the Vice Dean.
4. Students wishing to pursue a Master's degree with a teaching focus must have a French Community of Belgium diploma; failing this, they will have to pass a French language proficiency examination to demonstrate that their command of written and spoken French is equivalent to Level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (for further information, visit https://uclouvain.be/en/study/inscriptions/language-requirements.html.html).

Les programmes de master de l’enseignement supérieur artistique et de l’enseignement supérieur hors université cités ci-dessous (catégorie 3) donnent un accès direct au master moyennant : (1) des connaissances théoriques et/ou une expérience pratique en arts du spectacle acquises antérieurement à l’entrée en master; (2) la remise d’un dossier; (3) un entretien d’admission obligatoire, à la mi-septembre, à l’issue duquel le jury peut décider d’un complément éventuel de 15 crédit maximum, à suivre durant la 1ère année du master.
