The Advanced Master in European law is designed to provide students who have completed their studies in law with a specialized high level training in European law, covering both the European Community law as well as European Union law, in their material and institutional aspects. In line with the tradition established for many years at Louvain, this specialized training in European law is also firmly anchored in international law.

The Advanced Master in European law is a programme lasting one academic year (60 credits) made up of three main groups of activities : seven compulsory courses (35 credits), two optional subjects chosen from a wide range of option courses (10 credits) and a final assignment done in the context of a special seminar on international law and lectures on current issues (15 credits). These sessions, as well as certain other compulsory courses and some optional subjects, are reserved for students taking the Advanced Master.
