Professional focus: Socio-anthropology of Interculturality and Development [30.0]
Increasingly anthropologists (and sociologists) work on the conception, execution and evaluation of projects relating to social, economic and cultural development, in an intercultural context in both Northern and Southern hemispheres. This requires awareness of the relevant sociopolitical and sociocultural contexts (knowledge of development projects, understanding the point of view of sponsors, familiarity with specific contexts in Africa, Asia or Latin America) ; knowledge and critical understanding of global development theories; theoretical and critical understanding of intercultural dynamics.
