Professional focus: Socio-anthropology of Interculturality and Development [30.0]
Sociologists (and anthropologists) are, increasingly, involved in the conception, implementation and assessment of social, economic and cultural development projects, with an intercultural context in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere. This demands knowledge of particular socio-political and socio-cultural contexts (knowledge of other cultures, introduction to contexts in Africa, Asia or Latin America); knowledge and critical understanding of global development theories ; theoretical and critical understanding of intercultural dynamics.
