Main themes
This seminar will deal with different kinds of methodologies and concepts in Dutch linguistics research. The students should take an active part during the lectures about recent researchs on Dutch linguistics or on the basis of reading of scientific literature.

At the end of the seminar, students should have developed insight into the research methods in different areas of Dutch (applied) linguistics. They should be able to formulate research hypotheses and to develop research methods / strategies to verify these hypotheses. |
Content
In 2022-2023, the seminar will focus on an empirical study in the framework of the FRS-FNRS project "How do grammar and discourse interact? Evaluation methods
The evaluation will be based on students' active involvement in the seminar (20%, no repass possible for this part). It will also involve a written research report of an empirical study linked to the seminar topic (80%).
