The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the interpretation prism of reality that social psychology constitutes and to its relevance for analyzing teaching and training situations.
The main themes touched upon include social judgment, attitude change, social influence, attribution and social explication, the self and identity, intragroup processes, leadership, decision making, intergroup relations, prejudice and discrimination, culture, aggression and pro-social behavior.
From a practical point of view, we will try during the lessons, to establish a dialogue between the theoretical material presented by the teacher and the teaching and training situations encountered or imagined by students.
This teaching unit is therefore potentially, a privileged moment of exchange and co-construction between students and teachers.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.
Lectures and student activities.This course will be given partially in distance learning as a function of the sanitary situation if necessary (with a rotation of students taking part face-to-face vs. at distance). If needed, in light of the exceptional situation resulting from the COVID-19 epidemic, the course will alternate face-to-face sessions and distance teaching sessions according to a calendar taking into account the epidemic’s evolution.
Evaluation methods

The evaluation will take two forms: a group work and an individual written exam. Modalities of the group work and of the exam will be communicated during the first class. To pass this course, both the exam and the group work need to be passed (i.e., at least 10/20 on both components).
Exam (10/20 = 50% of the final grade):
15 MCQs & 5 open questions (basic knowledge of the cours content; application of theories; analysis of cases).
Group work (10/20 = 50% of the final grade):

- Examine a topic (that "speaks" to you: a model, a theory, a process, a phenomenon) that was addressed in one of the sessions (topics not covered are possible upon consultation)
- Link this topic to a situation you experienced (or a hypothetical situation)
- Elaborate how a theoretical/scientific approach allows to better understand the situation
- Explain how the situation might allow to enrich or nuance theory
