Theory and Analysis of Teaching Procedures in Ancient Languages and Literatures [ LGLOR2550 ]

A thorough knowledge of Latin and Greek (for students of GLOR, LAFR or who have followed a minor in Greek or Latin studies).

A thorough knowledge of the dramatic arts ( for students of CET).

This course deals with the following two themes:

- reflection on teaching practices arising out of a comparative analysis of the practical trainings.  (15 hours) This first theme is intended for the students of GLOR, LAFR and those who have done minors in Greek and Latin studies.
- Critical analysis of an option in the secondary school (15 hours). This second theme is intended for students of GLOR, LAFR and THEA.

At the end of this course, the student will be capable of developing a critical reflection on the in-class training undertaken in the classes of the secondary sector, in order to develop a theory of the practical experiences. He will also be conscious, in an interdisciplinary prospect, of the epistemological stakes connected to the study and to the teaching of classical languages and literatures and/or of the dramatic arts.

Le cours permet de développer une réflexion critique commune sur les stages dans les classes du secondaire de façon à permettre une théorisation des pratiques et prendre conscience, dans une perspective interdisciplinaire, des enjeux épistémologiques liés à l'étude et à l'enseignement des langues et littératures classiques ou des arts du spectacle.

- Thème 1 : au départ de séquences précises et variées d'enseignement réalisées lors des stages, le cours vise à favoriser une relecture des données théoriques exposées au cours LGLOR2540 (didactique) et une démarche réflexive sur ses expériences, en distinguant le conjoncturel du structurel et en tendant vers une auto-évaluation constructive. Ce cours fournit aussi l'occasion de présenter publiquement les difficultés d'ordre méthodologique, pédagogique et didactique rencontrées et les solutions proposées.

- Thème 2 : il étudie, d'un point de vue épistémologique, la place des langues anciennes et des arts d'expression dans l'enseignement secondaire en tant que branches à option.
