Would you like to know more about research data management? Are you starting up a new project and need to draw up a Data Management Plan? Would you like to find out more about the DMP Online tool? Would you like to better understand the principles of Open Data? This course is for you.

It will cover the following points:

Open Data: general principles
Research data: definition
Why manage your research data? Scientific, political, economic and social issues
Research Data Management (RDM) and FAIR principles
Presentation of the DMP Online tool (templates, sections and structure)
DMP content: data description, data documentation, data storage and back-up, legal and ethical requirements, data sharing and reuse, data management responsibilities
Presentation of the exercise to be carried out: presenting your data and drawing up a DMP

Training aims

By the end of the course, you will be familiar with: the general principles of Open or FAIR Data, the issues of Open Data, the content of a Data Management Plan and the general operation of the DMP Online tool.
