Studying at UCL
Founded in 1425, the
Université catholique de
Louvain
(UCL) is one of the oldest universities
in Europe.
UCL counts nearly 30 000 students, more than
2100 researchers, a network of medical centers,
3 scientific parks, 200 labs and 14 Faculties,
which places it in a privileged position amongst
international universities
.
The
Faculty of Law and Criminology
is ideally
located on the Louvain-la-Neuve campus,
in the Brussels region (at short driving- or
train-distance). With its green and pedestrian
centre, Louvain-la-Neuve offers a pleasant
and cosmopolitan atmosphere as well as
the opportunities of a modern city (shops,
mall, restaurants, sport centers, cinema,
theater, etc.), all within walking distance from
the academic buildings and the residential
neighborhoods. Life is cheerfully dynamized
by students, who organize various events
throughout the year : conferences, sport,
cultural and musical events.
