Aims

Ecclesiastical History: Modern and Contemporary Periods
This course is an introduction to research in the history of the Church (modern and contemporary periods).

Main themes

This accelerated course examines specific questions in detail, sometimes related to the modern period (16th to 18th centuries) and sometimes to the contemporary (19th - 20th centuries). The subject matter varies each year. The subjects are meant to bring students closer to either the history of doctrines, institutions or mentalities and cultures.

Prerequisite: general knowledge of Church history
