Aims
Become familiar with the contents, style and major ideas of protestant theology
Main themes
Like every major Christian Church, the protestant Church has its own way, a "style" proper to it, of conceiving and practicing theology on particular points in its own theological contents and on points of agreement in faith with other Churches. In a Catholic faculty of theology, this course should not aim at exhaustiveness but at making students aware of the major ideas of reformed theology - in what is particular to it. Every two years a special question, of an historical or speculative order, is studied, differing from year to year since this is a third cycle course.
Content and teaching methods
The contents changes every year and the method is the lecture course; yet personal reading is counselled.
In 2002-2003 :
The course analysed the structure and described the genesis of K. Barth's theology.
