Aims
Special Moral Theology: Marriage
The course takes a specific matter in the moral theology of marriage and explains the conditions under which the theological problem arises, the way to solve it, possible solutions, conclusions, as well as their limits.
Main themes
This course takes present-day problems concerning marriage and the family and chooses one to examine from the point-of-view of a moral theology of scriptural and personalist inspiration, referring to teachings from the tradition and the Church Magisterium.
The questions addressed are chosen from the various domains that make up the human reality of Christian marriage and sexuality, such as conjugal ties and fertility. In light on the one hand of the effect of transformations of contemporary society on the formation of the human couple and, on the other hand, of new possibilities in the reproductive area through biomedical techniques, this course uses data from the human and biological sciences to focus on problems approached.
