Aims

Sexual and Family Ethics
By the end of this course, the student should be able to undertake ethical reflection on sexuality, marriage and family, on the basis of Christian tradition and in light of current issues.

Main themes

To meet these objectives, the course undertakes critical reflection into the social, ethical and theological aspects of sexuality, marriage (both an institution and a sacrament) and family.

Content and teaching methods

Content :
I. Human sexuality : scriptural and personalist perspectives. - II. Marriage in civil society and Theology of Christian marriage. - III. Birth control. - IV. Abortion. - V. Homosexualities.
Method:
The presentation of these matters is followed by an exchange of vieuws.
