- examination of the many places where the maturation of faith occurs, including the "Catechumenate:; examination of current forms of continuous training;
- analysis of certain reference texts on the Christian formation of adults.
Content and teaching methods
The notion of andragogy has been around for nearly two centuries, as a way of describing adult learning. It is a section of the practical theology, that studies the adult education about the Christian faith. Thanks to the deep impact of the affirmations of Vatican the 2nd about the priesthood of the faithful and the universal call to holiness in the Church, the adult learning has became an important part of the life of the Christian communities. The secularization in the western societies forces to think again the challenges and the modalities of adult education in the Church.
