Aims
By the end of this course, the student should be able to point out the major traits of Pauline theology, linked to earlier traditions and at the life of the communities for which it was intended.
Main themes
To meet these objectives, the course covers the following :
- short approach to the entire Pauline corpus;
- exegesis of selected sections of an epistle, which are representative of Pauline theology;
- firm grounding in an analysis of Pauline rhetoric and theological vocabulary;
- comparison with data provided by other letters of the corpus.
