Aims

At the end of the course the students will have an overview of the different seuxal dysfunctions and of the way they are brought and treated by medicine.

Main themes

The specific aspects of medical sexology in relation with gynaecology, urology, psychosomatic medicine and psychiatry are tackled from the clinical experience of three medical practitioners from complementary fields.

Content and teaching methods

A psychiatrist, an urologist and a gynaecologist will present clinical cases of medical sexology and discuss with the students the various related biological, psychological and social aspects.
The sexually transmitted disease, the sexual complications of the medical and surgical affections, the pharmacological as well as surgical or systemic or behavioural caring of the sexual dysfunctions are reviewed.
