Aims

This seminar aims to equip students with a methodology allowing them to tackle lexical problems independently and critically.

Content and teaching methods

- Global approach to issues of Spanish word formation.
- Survey of the methodologies used for studying derivation and borrowed words.
- Critical application of these theories and methodologies to a body of Spanish texts from the 16th and 17th centuries (Siglo de Oro) on the one hand, and from the 20th century on the other.
