Aims
This seminar invites students to undertake an in-depth analysis of specific legal themes that were taught in the first cycle. The subject of the seminar varies from one year to another. The topics to be studied are linked by common problematic aspects.
Main themes
The method comprises two steps. Students must present the results of their research on a topic which is assigned during the academic year, and are subsequently requested to produce a written document summarising the presentation. This is used as material to open discussions and debates on the topic. Seminar sessions start at the beginning of the academic year, although the first presentations take place in the second semester. During the first semester, students are asked to develop and explore various themes. At regular intervals, each participant gives a progress report on his or her work, including the questions and difficulties encountered. This work is performed in groups so as to ensure a smooth coordination of effort
