Aims
At the end of this course, the student will be able
To understand the specificity of the philosophical approach of political and social issues;
To analyze and comment a basic text in social and political philosophy;
To identify basic concepts and problems in social and political philosophy;
To analyze and criticize the anthropological presuppositions and ethical principles underlying social and political practices.
Main themes
The course will present and confront major theories in contemporary social and political philosophy by means of studying a politically relevant practical issue. It will include some philosophical readings.
