Aims

This seminar explores advanced techniques in cartography and remote sensing and discusses recent applications of these techniques. The seminar is based on invited specialists in remote sensing and cartography, working in public international organisations specialized in research or environmental monitoring. It confronts students with the profesional world in the field of their specialization.

Main themes

Each seminar is based on a recent publication. A 45 minute presentation is followed by a discussion. Themes vary from year-to-year and include: remote sensing (optical, hyperfrequency), spatial modelling, photogrammetry, topography, geographical information systems.
