Aims
By the end of this course, students should have a thorough understanding of the study of geography and of the "geographic and social studies" course in the later years of secondary education.
Main themes
The course deals with decisions on the content of geography teaching, including its relationship with geology and with economics and social science. It also deals with mastering approaches, methods, and techniques for the teaching of geography.The course will take as its starting point examples of learning situations in the subject. These situations cover the entire syllabus for geography and for "geographic and social studies". They are analysed using learning techniques and tools and are organised according to different examples of approach and method.
