Content and teaching methods

Content

Methodology
Before each session, participants will make a private and detailed study of the documents to be discussed. The session will aim to raise any difficulties of comprehension that there may be, and to analyse critically the conceptual aspects of the works that have been studied, their methodological choices, and their contributions to the evolution of knowledge. The workshop will meet once a fortnight over two terms.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

The support for this workshop will take the form of a list of articles taken from the leading scientific journals (or from chapters of books) in the field. The content, like the members of the academic staff sharing the teaching, may vary from year to year.

Assessment: this will be base on students' active participation in workshop sessions, and a check on their knowledge itself based on an understanding of the reading and their critical analysis.
