Aims
At the end of this practical instruction, the student must be able to achieve
- standard fixed unit restorations,
- complete dentures in simple cases.
Main themes
- Practical application, within clinically reasonable deadlines, of theoretical and practical concepts (preclinical) acquired in the fields of removable and fixed prosthesis (preparations, temporization means, impressions, try-in and controls).
Content and teaching methods
Contents:
- Assumption of patients requiring standard prosthetic restorations in the fields of fixed and removable prosthesis. The student will achieve the clinical steps of treatment (in the fields of fixed and removable prosthesis) and the main laboratory steps (in the field of removable prosthesis).
Method:
- achievement of the different clinical and laboratory steps under very close supervision.
- fast interventions of the supervisors to guarantee the quality of the care and to achieve the different works within reasonable deadlines

Pre-necessary:
- theoretical knowledge and practical exercises in in the fields of operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthesis, - theoretical knowledge of anatomy, dental materials and periodontology.
