Aims

Apply the general knowledge of ecology and the notion of land engineering and in particular the ecological network.

Main themes

Exposing a few typical cases (conservation of calcareous layers, conservation of landesXX of High Ardennes, preserving quality waters, managing the highway sides) is always followed by visits and field demonstrations. The examples observed are used as a basis to critical analysis that takes in the ecological, economical, social and political point of views.

Prerequisites: Ecology of individals and populations (BIOL2191), Biogeography (GEOG2160), Synecology (2262).

Assisted work: experts interventions for some specific subjects.

Support: reading portfolio, press cutting, scientifical articles.
