Aims

Laboratory methods applied to the history of art.

Main themes

Theory of study of methods (physical and chemical) in the history of art (technology and preservation). Specific aspects of the technology and preservation of paintings. Practical laboratory applications. Working documents, mainly on the use of ultraviolet rays for the study of paintings, are published every two years by the Laboratory.
