Aims

The aim is to give the main keys to build a geotechnical project

Main themes

- Impact of geological and hydrogeological parameters to choice site and design of civil works
- Presentation of the main geophysical prospecting methods
- Building of geotechnical campain
- Control during civil works realisation

Content and teaching methods

- Geotechnical cartography
- Geophysical methods : resistivity, refraction seismic, microgravimetry, radar, diagraphes
- Geotechnical methods : CPT, SPT, boring and sampling, pressiometer, dilatometer, lab tests
- Control of geotechnical behaviour for excavation, foundation, fill, settlement, piezometry, inclinometer
