Aims

- presentation of the major neuropsychological semeiologies in the field of language, praxias and executive functions
- familiarisation with the cognitive approach of the disorders
- reminder of the notion of cognitive architecture and of clinical work on case studies

Main themes

Part 1 : instrumental disorders
- apraxias : definition, semeiology, etiopathogeny, interpretative models
- hemisensory neglect : definition, semeiology, etiopathogeny, interpretative models
- executive functions : definition, semeiology, etiopathogeny, interpretative models
- calculation disorders : definition, semeiology, etiopathogeny, interpretative models

Part 2 : language disorders : definition, classification of aphasias, lesion localisation, semeiology, etiopathogeny, interpretative models (lexical, syntactic, semantic disorders)

Content and teaching methods

The course is an introduction to the major semeiologies of neuropsychology. It also introduces to the examination methods and to the theoretical work of the disorders interpretation. Various pathologies will be examplified with case studies and videos.
