Aims

The aim is to develop in the students the ability to observe and to analyse the reality in a systematic and harsh way. The seminar is included in the continuation of the courses " Methodology of research in human sciences " (FOPA 2130 and FOPA 2230). It proceeds with the formation to research through a specific option related to the students interests.

Main themes

The presentation of each technique named in the title incorporates the aspects of data collection and processing.
The students choose a module among the modules FOPA 2331, FOPA 2332 and FOPA 2333 taking into account their final project.

Content and teaching methods

The students choose a module presenting a technique of observation of the reality (a methodological approach), as well at the level of the data collection as at the level of the data processing, which will later be applied in the final project.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

It follows educational methods fitted for adults including the link between theory and practice, group work, formative assessment and steps of individual and group appropriation of the contents. Illustrations from the various fields of education and from adults formation : continuous education, specialized education, school field, etc.
Evaluation : summative evaluation on a work showing the theoretical mastering and the ability to apply the techniques studied.
