Main themes

Using comparative epistemological study of philosophy and other intellectual disciplines figuring in study programmes, we shall discern contents that should be included in philosophy programmes in secondary instruction.

Content and teaching methods

This course seeks to determine the particular place philosophy can or should occupy in the spiritual itinerary of students in the final years of secondary education by situating it at the crossroads of all the disciplines they are taught and their daily lives. How to show concretely, if not achieve, this specificity in a course ? To answer, students will present, before their peers, the programme of a 30 hour course they would like to teach " in the field ". The exchange that follows will be the basis of an evaluation, bearing as much on the contents themselves as on the methods used.

As a prerequisite, this course presuppposes knowledge acquired during the baccalaureate programme in philosophy.
