Aims
A complement to the moral theology course, this seminar's goal is to intensify students' instruction by involving them in group research in a domain of fundamental or special moral theology.
Main themes
Depending on the year and the group's needs and possibilities, two major options are possible, given the starting point chosen. Some prefer collectively presenting and discussing feedback in class. Others are more particularly interested in a recent author, or an outstanding work. Those members will carry out in-depth study on this subject and attempt a critical evaluation.
Content and teaching methods
2002-2003 :
The indissolubility of sacramental marriage has made it a singularity in a contemporary culture where evoking a definitive commitment is called into question by a widespread presence, in popular consciousness, of ideas of authenticity, self-fulfillment and the preservation of individual liberty.
In this context, we will try, presuming the attainments of a philosophy and theology of the person, to determine the conditions under which inter-subjective love, lived over time, permits an understanding of indissolubility that is not based only on the primacy of the institution or the sacralization of conjugal ties.
