Aims
At the end of this seminar, the student will master the main data management tools of SAS software and will be able to apply them on big data sets.
Main themes
- Basics of the SAS Language : basic SAS programming concepts, creation of SAS data sets, file importing and exporting, merging, formats definition, variables transformation, control statements (loops).
- Creation of data table summaries and basic graphics, report exportation in different formats (HTML, text...)
- Use of SQL as a data query tools in the SAS language.
- SAS Macro Language : design and structure of SAS macros, debugging and integrating SAS macros in SAS programs.
- Advanced SAS programming : efficient data storage and manipulation, memory and data space optimisation, efficient programming techniques
- Practical use of all tools on data sets.
