Aims

Knowledge of the great works and literary movements from the Middle Ages till the 17th century (inclusively).

Main themes

For obvious reasons, the course procedes chronologically.

Content and teaching methods

Literary history and its periods. Trends and works from the Middle Ages till the end of the 17th century. Study of the relationships between the works and: ideological and cultural productions and political, social, and economic movements.

Impossible given what has become of literary history in high school education programmes.
Oral exam.
