Aims

To address a specific theme of humanitarian aid using a multi-disciplinary approach that embraces a number of different basic disciplines tackled in the first term.
To compare theory and practice in a debate with actors in the field.

Content and teaching methods

Content
Transversal analyses on subjects such as children in humanitarian crises, refugees, post-crisis rehabilitation, forgotten conflicts, and the media and humanitarian actions.
Methodology
Experts (including officials in NGOs and IGOs, representatives of the press, and politicians) from a range of horizons will be invited to debate a subject with students. This will be partly a residential seminar.

Participation and written work.
Students will be given a file of reading, depending on the themes chosen for each session.
