 Aims
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the art forms of the Far East, especially those of China and Japan.
Main themes
This course presents the main trends and themes of artistic expression in Chinese and Japanese culture. Periods from the ancient to the contemporary will be covered. Prominent aesthetic trends and themes are examined to bring to light the relationship between artistic expression and Chinese and Japanese culture.
