Aims

Be able to read fluently religious prose texts.

Main themes

Revision in detail of the grammar, especially the syntax, when giving some philological and institutional explanations of diverse texts, studied in a critical edition or on photocopies of source manuscripts
Study and description of manuscripts, surveys in the catalogue of manuscripts.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Prerequisite : elementary knowledge of Ethiopian or having followed the course GLOR 1814.
Evaluation : oral exam.
Ex-cathedra course requesting the student's active participation.
