Course aiming to present the general contexts of Greek literature, situating these within a general history of culture. We will study literary genres, important works and authors, and we will read translations of representative excerpts.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of Greek is not necessary for students taking this course as an option. The course requires the reading of translated excerpts chosen from important works.
Examination method: oral.
