Aims

his course initiates the student to the biological way of thinking, to the scientific method in the field of psychology and to the role of the neurobiological bases of human behavior and of criminal behavior in particular.

Main themes

1. Neurobiological development and the evolutionary process of man.
2. Consequences of chronmosome anomalies and of heredity on human conduct and criminality.
3. Role of brain structure and of hormones on the regulation of human conduct.
4. Neurobiology and aggressive behavior.
5. Neurobiology of addictive behavior (role of neurotransmitters, etc.).
6. States of consciousness and criminal behavior.
7. Neurophysiological consequences of cerebral lesions. Relationship with criminality.
