Aims
Third cycle course given every year and aimed at deepening the knowledge of students in organic chemistry. The course will contain recent strategies for obtaining particular targets and general methodologies insuring the control of selectivity (chemo-, regio-, stereo-, and enantioselectivity) in synthesis.
Main themes
The content of this course varies from year to year. It contains the following subjects, among others: - new reactants, new reactions and new strategies in total synthesis ;- use of transition metals in organic synthesis ;- recent developments in radical chemistry, photochemistry and heterocyclic chemistry ;- asymmetric synthesis ;- supramolecular chemistry ;- organic chemistry of Boron, silicon and phosphorous derivatives.
