 Objectifs
Presentation of the peculiarities of the Greek language as used in the biblical books, with a distinction between the Old Testament - characteriezed by its Hebrew model - and the New Testament - representing the common Greek (Koine) of Hellenistic time.

Le cours pour objectif de familiariser l'étudiant avec les particularités de la langue grecque utilisée dans les écrits bibliques, en distinguant l'Ancien Testament, marqué par son modèle hébraïque, et le Nouveau Testament, témoin du grec commun de l'époque hellénistique.
Cahier des charges
Le cours porte alternativement sur le grec de l'Ancien Testament et sur le Nouveau Testament.
Il introduit aux questions spécifiques de morphologie, de syntaxe et de lexicologie posées par les textes bibliques. Une attention particulière est accordée aux influences marquant ce type de langue, qu'il s'agisse de sémitismes ou de latinismes, aux genres littéraires, aux indices de traduction et aux phénomènes de bilinguisme.
Les étudiants biblistes sont invités à se familiariser avec les instruments de la philologie classique; les philologues avec les instruments des études bibliques.
Le cours consiste en une lecture commentée de textes choisis.

The course is devoted alternatively to the Greek of the Old Testament and to the Greek of the New Testament. It gives an introduction to specific questions of morphology, syntax and lexicology arising from the study of Biblical texts. Attention is paid to the influences, be they semitisms or latinisms, to the use of literary genres and to the phenomenon of bilingualism. Students in Biblical studies are invited to get accustomed to the working tools of classical philology, as classical philologists are to get accustomed to the working tools of Biblical studies. The course consists of commented readings of selected texts.

Une attention particulière est prêtée aux sémitismes, indices de traduction ou de bilinguisme. Les étudiants biblistes sont invités à se familiariser avec les instruments de la philologie classique, les philologues avec les instruments bibliques.
