I'd like to wish you the very best for 2016 and a fruitful year for our network !

As you can see below, we have quite a number of activities already scheduled for this year. I want to draw your attention more specifically to the Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control scheduled from March 24 to 26, 2016 in The Netherlands since the deadline for abstract submissions is January 20th ! You can find more about it below.

Please also mark the date of May 19th 2016 in your agenda since then the UCL team will organize the next IAP Study day in Louvain-la-Neuve. We will send you more information about it soon.

35th Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control : March 22-24, 2016, Sosterberg, The Netherlands

The aim of this meeting is to promote research activities and cooperation between researchers in Systems and Control. It is the thirty-fifth in a series of annual conferences that are held alternately in Belgium and The Netherlands. The meeting takes place under the auspices of the Dutch Institute of Systems and Control (DISC).

Award

Paul Van Dooren received the Hans Schneider Prize from the International Linear Algebra Society. The quotation mentioned numerical linear algebra and matrix theory as his main area of research, with applications to system and control theory. The award will be presented at the ILAS Conference in Leuven in July, 2016.
