Three years, full-time, consisting of :
• Hospital work experience in practical training services, under the supervision of special practical training supervisors approved by the Ministerial Committee and recognised by the teaching committee of Internal Medecine.
• Theory
• Seminars
• A period of supervised clinical training
The theoretical sessions of the first two years form part of the specific university training programme (FUS, in French).
part - Higher studies
Three years, full-time, consisting of :
• Hospital apprenticeship periods in practical training services and under the guidance of training supervisors approved by the Ministerial Committee and recognised by the teaching committee of Gastroenterology.
• Theoretical sessions (common courses, UCL-ULB) : Theoretical bases on digestive endoscopy, theoretical bases on functional digestive explorations, Physiopathology and therapy for liver and biliary tract diseases. Demonstrations of functional exploratory techniques.
• Seminars : Seminar on Gastroenterology, Pluridisciplinary seminar on Gastroenterology.
• A supervised apprenticeship in a hospital : Demonstrations on gastroenterological endoscopies.
