General requirements

Subject to the general requirements laid down by the academic authorities, admission to the specialized Master’s degree programme will be granted to students who fulfil the entry requirements for studies leading to the award of a Master’s (second-cycle) degree and who hold a second-cycle diploma, degree, certificate or other qualification issued within or outside the French Community of Belgium, or whose prior learning or experience has been accredited by the Examination Board as being equivalent to at least 300 credits.

The following entry requirements are based on article 112 of the Decree of 7 November 2013 on higher education and the organisation of academic study.

Direct entry to the Advanced Master’s in Interdisciplinary Analysis of European Integration is open to holders of one of the following qualifications (with no requirement to undertake additional study):

• a Masters’ degree (120 credits) awarded in the French or Flemish Communities: Political and Social Sciences; Law; Criminology; Economics and Management; Information and Communication ; History, Art and Archaeology; or an equivalent qualification awarded by the Belgian Royal Military School;
• a second cycle academic qualification (Licentiate diploma or licencié or licentiaat) in one of the fields referred to above and awarded in the French or Flemish Communities of Belgium under the provisions in force prior to the Decree of 31 March 2004;
• a non-Belgian qualification recognised by the French community of Belgium as equivalent to one of those referred to above.

Entry to the Advanced Master’s in Interdisciplinary Analysis of European Integration is open to students who hold of one of the qualifications listed below (subject to the candidate being able to demonstrate professional or personal experience in the field of Europe, and/or prior academic results that are deemed relevant by an Admissions Board decision and subject to any additional entry conditions the Board may apply):

• a Masters’ degree (120 credits) other than those referred to above, awarded in the French or Flemish Communities or by the Belgian Royal Military School;
• a second cycle academic qualification (postgraduate university degree) in one of the fields referred to above and awarded in the French Community of Belgium under the provisions in force prior to the Decree of 31 March 2004;
• a foreign qualification deemed by the Admissions Board to be (i) comparable to one of those referred to above and (ii) to have a value of at least 300 ECTS credits.

The program requires students to have strong French language skills and a sufficient level in English (at a minimum an excellent passive understanding of English).
