The preparatory year provides students with some basic knowledge and skills in the history of art and archeology to help them sucessfully follow the Master [60] in History of Art and Archaeology : General or the Master [120] in History of Art and Archaeology : General.

The programme includes courses aimed at developing a student's :

• intellectual curiosity and critical aptitudes ;
• sensitivity to cultural objects and artistic issues ;
• knowledge of the uses of technology in archeology and the history of art ;
• knowledge of western Europe's art and civilisation from antiquity to today.
