In particular, they will be able to :
- make accurate diagnoses (clinical reasoning)
- define the treatment required, justify it and plan the monitoring
- identify emergency situations and take initial action
- carry out certain techniques in complete safety and with respect for the patient
In addition, they will demonstrate the ability :
- to establish an appropriate relationship with patients : in particular, they will be able to inform patients and their families, in simple and understandable language, to involve them more closely in decisions which affect them
- follow medical ‘good practice’ i.e. practice :
- which conforms to the legal and ethical rules as well as moral principles
- which is aware of the cost and methods of payment for prescriptions
- to update their knowledge and skills necessary for delivering high quality treatment.
