The preparatory year provides students with some basic knowledge and skills in French and Latin philology to help them sucessfully follow the Master [60] in Ancient and Modern Languages and Literatures or the Master [120] in Ancient and Modern Languages and Literatures.

The programme includes courses aimed at developing  :

• Linguistic and grammatical skills in French (theory and exercises) ;
• Linguistic and grammatical skills in Latin (theory and exercises) ;
• Literary skills in French and Latin (study  of the history of French and Latin literature ; analysis and understanding of literary texts).
