 Learning outcomes upon course completion

The objective is to prepare specifically for the practice of clinical pharmacy in a hospital setting.
(The goal of clinical pharmacy activities in a hospital is to rationalise the use of drugs in the hospital in terms of quality, safety and cost of treatment).

The overall objective is to allow the pharmacist to deal competently with:
(a) pharmacotherapeutics and the rational use of drugs;
(b) monitoring prescriptions and developing plans for pharmaceutical care;
(c) resolving problems, making decisions and participating effectively in the healthcare team with regard to drugs.
