Teaching and training





The theoretical training comprises :

  • seminars (180 hours) on integrated approaches to the patient (discussion of treatment plans and case reports where there is possible interaction with other specialized disciplines and general medical disciplines).
  • the part, common to all the training programmes, which leads to the award of professional status in dentistry (70 hours). This part comprises training for independent professional practice as well as interactive seminars on the following topics: economic aspects of bucco-dental treatment, the organization and management of a dental surgery, professional regulation and responsibility, dental computer systems, critical analysis of scientific literature, introduction to legal dentistry, introduction to communication, ergonomics, radiodiagnosis including radioprotection, ethological aspects of health care and the relationship between first and second line health care.
    The course is taught by an inter-university team of lecturers including the professional  associations.

during the clinical training, and in the spirit of combined dentistry, candidates must carry out an adequate number of preventive and rehabilitative treatments on an adequate number of patients and write up the reports. The combined treatments carried out by candidates should include as many disciplines from the basic training as possible.
