The preparatory year provides students with the basic tools in Greek and Latin Philology to help them sucessfully follow the Master [60] in Ancient Languages and Literatures: Classics or the Master [120] in Ancient Languages and Literatures: Classics.

The specific programme for both classical languages (Greek and Latin) includes courses aimed at developing  :

• Linguistic skills (a thorough study of Greek and Latin grammer and corresponding exercises) ;
• Literary skills (study of the history of Greek and Latin literature, analysis and understanding of literary texts).
