AnnéesTravail de fin d'étude

Retour en début de pageStudy objectives

Physiotherapy is, literally, ‘treatment through movement’. As the profession has developed, physiotherapists are not only called on to treat problems in movement, but also neurological, respiratory and cardiac problems.

By the end of the course, students in physiotherapy will have acquired the skills enabling him to restore, in the best way possible, the functional capacities of a sick, injured or handicapped person.

The training is also designed to develop a critical attitude based on solid scientific knowledge which enables graduates to justify their professional practices and update them. Training in rehabilitation will also enable them to suggest appropriate solutions for reintegrating handicapped people into their family, social and professional environments.

The Master in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is centred on acquiring and developing specific skills in physiotherapy in various areas of application (orthopaedic, neurological, respiratory, uro-gynaecological, cardio-vascular, psychiatric, pediatric, geriatric etc). Graduates are awarded the professional status of physiotherapist in the French Community of Belgium.

Retour en début de pageEvaluation

There are three main sessions of examinations : in January, June and September.

Assessment of the theoretical courses is based on a written or oral examination and may be combined and/or replaced by elements of continuous assessment, particularly for the clinical placements.

Assessment of the practical training is continuous and may be supplemented by a final assessment.

Students will be informed of the methods of assessment at the beginning of each course.
