The Master 120 in History of Art and Archaeology: Musicology trains students to become specialists in musicology and the associated musical domains. Students who have access to this course can either prove solid basic training in musicology (Minor in Musicology) or equivalent experience.
The master aims to help students specialise in one of the key professional fields through choosing a targeted professional focus, either
• purely relating to musicology, in connection with history of art: 'Art and Music';
• on a musical practice linked to a theoretical approach, in connection with the IMEP (Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie, Namur) : 'Music and Musicology';
• or in management careers, criticism and musical animation, in connection with IHECS (Institut des Hautes Etudes en Communication Sociale, Bruxelles) and with COMU (Faculté des sciences économiques, sociales et politiques - Département de communication) : 'Management and Music';
Options strengthen and/or diversify courses on offer.
Wathever the focus or the options chosen, the programme of this master shall totalise 120 credits, spread over two years of studies each of 60 credits
